Blue River Husky Restaurant – A favourite of long-distance drivers, fuel up for your day with a hearty breakfast at this roadhouse diner adjacent to the Husky gas station on the northbound side of the Yellowhead Highway. No matter what time you roll in, breakfast is served all day. Not in the mood for a mid-day breakfast? That’s okay, the Husky features traditional diner fare for lunch and dinner. Janie’s General Store – Follow the signs from the highway to the railway tracks and discover Janie’s General Store, built in 1912, now one of the three oldest historically preserved stores in British Columbia. Wander the aisle, shopping for just-made treats to take on the trail. Have a coffee and chat up the locals.
